How does it work?
When you share a flight, you make the arrangements directly with another Private Jet Club website member or with the jet service who is posting the flight. Based on your arrangements, you may be flying on another member's jet or you may decide to share a charter flight posted on our site.
Simply, our goal is to provide you with a variety of private jet travel options and opportunities, allowing you to benefit financially by comparing the costs of various charter services and / or sharing the cost with others.
Where do the aircraft come from?
First, we need to make clear: Private Jet Club does NOT get involved in the procurement or arranging of any flights. Those logistics are left to the members.
When members fly together, aircraft can come from a variety of sources:
- CHARTER: When members meet and want to fly to the same place but neither has access to an airplane, they may choose one of the flights posted by our charter partners on the site. If the flight they are looking to take is not posted, they may contact one of our recommended charter companies to provide a rate quote. A competitive rate quote for an appropriate aircraft is easy when working with a reputable charter broker.
NOTE ABOUT CHARTERS: Due to FAA regulations, Charter operators may not sell individual seats on board a charter flight. If an individual wishes to charter a flight and invite others on board to fly with him/her at an arranged cost, this is solely at the discretion of the individual.
- FRACTIONAL and PLANE OWNERS: Many of our members participate in fractional ownership programs, others own their own planes. These members have the right to offer a ride to a "jetpooler" to offset their personal flying expenses.
How much does it cost?
During the initial months of our launch period, we are pleased to offer applicants a FREE temporary membership. As of July 1, 2009, individual memberships will be available for $399 / year.
